Meet the new Adamo as the organization expands into new industries
Adamo, a trusted name in high-security construction for decades, is proud to announce its expansion into new industries, marked by the launch of a refreshed brand identity. This transformation reflects Adamo’s ongoing mission: “Enriching people as we advance security.”
For over 60 years, Adamo has established a sterling reputation for quality and care in the construction industry as a residential and commercial general contractor. In the 1980s, the company ventured into high-security construction for U.S. government agencies, specializing in SCIFs/SAPFs and open storage areas. Adamo quickly became an industry leader for national security facilities, known for its people-centric approach to projects and clients. In the last decade, the company further extended its expertise within the high-security industry to include ICD 705 construction consultation, education and FSO support services.
“A long time ago it became clear to us that what we serve people with is our expertise,” Adamo CEO Josh Godknecht said. “Expertise in project delivery, expertise in security and expertise in navigating complexities. Once we realized that, adding more ways to offer expertise to others was a natural outflow. Really our high drive to serve others was the primary inspiration.”
New Ventures in Community Security
Adamo is now expanding into community security services through new alarm system offerings and tactical training for law enforcement and civilians. This expansion underscores Adamo’s commitment to enhancing not only national security but also local community safety. The new slogan, “Together we build a safer nation, community, neighborhood and tomorrow,” reflects this dedication.
“Making a real difference can’t happen unless the majority of participants take responsibility for the change,” Godknecht said. “If we want a strong home, the family has to commit to doing the work. If we want a strong city, the citizens have to put in the work. If we want a strong nation, we have to choose to be of service to our country in some way, whether directly serving or directly supporting those who serve.”
A Fresh Logo for a New Era
Adamo’s previous logo featured a drafting compass “A” within a shield, symbolizing its roots in construction. The new logo, while retaining the shield to represent safety and security, has evolved to encompass Adamo’s broader scope of industries. This modernized identity aligns with Adamo’s vision for the future.
Community Engagement and Outreach
In conjunction with the rebrand, Adamo will honor its commitment to community care by volunteering with local organizations in the areas where their offices are located. This initiative reinforces the company’s ethos of giving back and creating a positive impact.
“Making a difference to as many people as we can is what inspired our decision to add a relentless focus on community to our long history of serving our military and intelligence community agencies,” Godknecht said. “We want to serve change and good outcomes in the coming years.”
Services and Training Offerings
Currently, Adamo offers alarm services, access control systems, cameras and sound masking systems in San Diego County and Central Texas, including vulnerability assessments, custom system recommendations, installation and monitoring. Tactical trainings are available in Central Texas, featuring courses such as SWAT, hostage rescue, counter-paramilitary operations, and more. These trainings offer hands-on experience to ensure officers are prepared for any number of hazardous situations. Adamo will also support departments in a holistic manner with tactical gear and services including threat assessments, background investigations, response testing and more, as well as offering top-of-the-line equipment.
